Spitting is a common issue for many vapers, but it’s something that can be easily avoided if you take some considerations in how you prepare your vape and how you use your device.
Firstly, be careful not to over-prime your coil and only drip 1-3 drops on a fresh coil before you install it in your tank. Over-priming is arguably the primary cause of spit back and can be easily avoided by not flooding your coil or allowing excess e-juice to remain on it.
Next, if possible, turn up the power on your device as you may not be vaporizing e-liquid quickly enough and allowing it to pool on your coil.
Finally, reduce the airflow on your device to avoid pulling excess e-juice onto the coil. If you haven’t caught on by now, having unnecessary e-liquid on your coil is the primary cause of spit back, and having too open an airflow will make it easier to forcefully inhale excess e-juice onto the wick.
Other changes you may consider include, using thicker e-juice, pulsing the fire button, trying another drip tip, and cleaning the chimney.
