First and foremost, you’ll need an herbal vaporizer that is actually able to work with waxes and/or concentrates. Unfortunately, not all devices are capable of vaporizing these forms of cannabis, so be sure to take extra care to select the right device if you plan on using wax/concentrates.
If you do have a device that is compatible with waxes and/or concentrates -- i.e. the PAX 3 or Yocan Evolve -- start by taking off the mouthpiece and gaining access to the heating chamber and coils. Next, using your dab tool, take some of the material and carefully spread it directly onto the coils of your device. Take care when doing this, as applying too much pressure can damage your coils and render them inoperable.
Finally, understand that you will need to clean your device more when using waxes/concentrates, as the residue caused by the material will clog and congest your coils faster than dry herbs. That being said, the device can still be easily cleaned with cleaning solutions and some elbow grease.
